A good producer will take a great artist and build on the talent that is already there. They will narrow in on what can make the song sucessful and keep the essense of the artist within the song. The producer will also suggest instrumenations to fill a song and make it sound complete. Along with arranging schedules and bringing in musicians the producer most importantly allows the artist to focus on his or her talent.
